ATC in the Community
ATC is about more than just the bottom dollar. While we are certainly passionate about building trailers, we also recognize that our business is a vehicle for promoting positive change in our community, country, and the world.
We would like to humbly share some of the ways ATC gives back to the community. We believe that putting money back into the community benefits everyone in the end.
Mennonite Disaster Services
ATC has donated trailers to a number of organizations for their own personal use. A trailer was given to Mennonite Disaster Service, whose main focus is on clean up, repair and rebuilding homes. This activity becomes a means of touching lives and helping people regain faith and wholeness. This trailer was taken by them and has been used as a tool trailer to transport their equipment and supplies from one worksite to the next. MDS has used the trailer on various projects including Louisiana hurricane relief work, where it is currently in service. MDS has been sending teams of people to the effected areas in their ongoing relief efforts. The tool trailer enables them to serve efficiently and make a difference wherever they are needed the most.
Mancino's Donation Drive
After the hurricanes, ATC partnered with Samuel Mancino’s, a local restaurant chain, by donating the use of eight trailers. These trailers were used as drop sites and were placed at various restaurant locations. The local community was then able to stop by and drop off their donations for the hurricane relief efforts at their own convenience. Once all of the donations were collected, the trailers were taken to the main distribution hub and unloaded for processing. These donations were sent out to the victims of the hurricanes when they were most needed. Thanks to Samuel Mancino’s and our local community we were able to collect many supplies to help the victims of the hurricanes.
Other Support
Other organizations have received our support through auctioning donated trailers and giving the full proceeds to their cause. Some of these organizations include Shipshewana Firefighters, Clinton Christian School, Optimist Club and the Shipshewana School PTO. This is just another small way that ATC has given back to the community, both locally and across the country.
